The D.C. Metro Bus 7000 Series is an American with Disabilities Act compliant metro bus that is designed for all people, for those in wheelchairs and those with mobility disabilities to ride to and from places with comfort and stability. It's ergonomic design allows for 2 more inches in the aisles on both sides, has a separate section for those in wheelchairs. Replaced the 1000 and 4000 Series metro buses. Seats 40 more people. Speaker is in real time and automated so it's clearer to understand while riding. Real time switchboards on board. Produced in Lincoln, Nebraska.The D.C. Metrobus provides more than 400,000 trips each weekday serving 11,500 bus stops in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Metrobus is the sixth busiest bus agency in the United States, with a fleet of more than 1,500 buses operating on 325 routes. Stand at Metrobus stops, which are designated with red, white, and blue signs.
