The CentralAlert Wireless Notification System, model CA360 [CA-1001], is a wireless signal system and sound monitor designed for use by individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. This is an all-in-one notification system for home use. It alerts the user to all the daily sounds in a home, such as alarm clock, door knocking, phone ringing, and alarm sound from audio alarms, warnings from motion detectors, and storm warning from NOAA radio (some functions require optional accessories). The CentralAlert system consists of a master unit, a wireless doorbell and a bed shaker. The master unit integrates an alarm clock with large display, a flasher with 6 LED lights, a motion sensor, and an audible alarm. The face of the master unit also has large bright icons to note which event has activated the alarm. To alert the user to sounds, the system uses its bright flasher, a loud yet pleasant audible sound alarm, and a powerful bed shaker. The bed shaker is included and connects to the master unit with a wire. The system also includes a wireless doorbell that can be installed outside adjacent to a door in place of a regular door bell. The master unit can also be connected to up to two telephone lines (one telephone cord is included) so it indicates when a call is received and a NOAA weather radio (not included) so it communicates weather alerts. It also has jacks to connect a second bed shaker and an external lamp flasher. When paired with other optional sensors, the CentralAlert responds to the activation of many other audio alarms, including T3 or T4 alarms, alarm clock, doorbell or door knocking, a crying baby, and motion detectors. It uses 2.4 GHz transmission technology with an operating range of 200 feet to receive wireless signals. The alarm clock's display adjusts its brightness automatically to a gentle level to avoid interfering with the user's sleep. The alarm clock has dual alarm settings. POWER: The master unit uses household current, with 4 AA rechargeable NiMH batteries for power backup, providing full operation for up to 48 hours in the event of power outage. The doorbell uses a CR2032 3-volt lithium battery.
