The Sedona Powerchair Lift is a hitch-mounted scooter or powered wheelchair carrier designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This lift raises and lowers a scooter or powerchair and is controlled by a key and a toggle switch. The lift is loaded and unloaded by driving on and driving off. The platform has a fully-automatic hold-down system. It tilts automatically on steep inclines and has an integrated suspension system to protect the scooter or powerchair. When unloaded, it folds up automatically. A Class III (2-inch) hitch receiver is required. The working distance is 10 to 19 inches from the bottom of hitch to the ground. It has a fully boxed base frame and adjustable wheel stops. An emergency manual override wrench is included. OPTIONS: Rear straps instead of or in addition to rear hold-down arm; swing-away option allows full access to the rear of vehicle by moving the entire lift away from the trunk, rear door(s) or tailgate. DIMENSIONS (LxW): Platform is 36 x 27 inches, 50 inches long with ramps. CAPACITY: 325 pounds. WEIGHT: 115 pounds (lift only). COLOR: Silver vein finish.
