Bucket filler books are designed to help teach children how to express benevolence and love and to help pre-teens live happier, more fulfilled lives. The book "Have you Filled a Bucket Today?" is designed to teach children how to express kindness, appreciation and love and how to interact appropriately with their peers. It teaches this through age-appropriate language, explaining that their words affect others and themselves and that this behavior can be "bucket filling" and "dipping".
"Growing Up with a Bucket Full of Happiness" is a book written for slightly older children. This book expands upon the metaphor by explaining how to put a lid on the bucket. This book is for children ages 9-14.
The "My Bucket filling Journal" is a spiral-bound journal and an accompaniment to the second book. It has thirty achievable ideas on how to fill buckets, eight questions to ask yourself every day for 30 days as you practice the three rules for a happier life, and eight questions to ask yourself every day for thirty days as you practice the three rules of a happier life. It also has thirty pages to record your daily thoughts and experience about bucket filling over the thirty day period.
