61,800 pounds of Trader Joe’s dumplings got recalled. Some had plastic from a pen

The Fresno Bee - 3/4/2024

The latest not-food-in-your-food recall concerns 61,839 pounds of Trader Joe’s dumplings and “hard plastic from a permanent marker pen.”

That’s from the USDA’s Food Safety Inspection Service alert that CJ Foods Manufacturing issued the recall after getting “complaints from consumers reporting they found hard plastic in Trader Joe’s Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings.”

Look on the side of the 6-ounce box for lot Nos. 03.07.25.C1-1 and 03.07.25.C1-2 and “P-46009” inside the USDA inspection stamp. They went to Trader Joe’s stores around the country.
