Diddy raises eyebrows after posting old music video running from police

The New York Daily News - 4/6/2024

Embattled rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs made a tongue-in-cheek post to his Instagram on Friday, sharing the music video to his 1997 song “Victory” that shows him running from police — all while the hip-hop mogul continues to navigate the law in real life.

“Bad Boy for Life,” Diddy, 54, wrote in the caption, appearing to reference his ongoing legal troubles after multiple people have accused him of rape, sex trafficking and abuse.

The video shows Diddy evading SWAT team members in riot gear. Actor Danny DeVito at one point appears in the clip as a reporter, saying Diddy has been on the run for years.

The music mogul is currently the defendant in multiple lawsuits in several jurisdictions — including New York — where he’s been accused of sex trafficking, drugging and assaulting women as far back as the early 1990s. He’s also being sued by record producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones for alleged sexual harassment, threatening and involuntary drugging.

The Department of Homeland Security raided Diddy’s Miami and Los Angeles properties on March 25, as part of an investigation into sex trafficking allegations.

Earlier on Friday, Diddy’s son Christian Combs was also accused of sexual assault in a new civil suit, which also lists his father as a defendant.

The alleged incident from December 2022 surrounds a steward on a luxury yacht, who claims Christian prevented her from leaving the boat and attempted to force her to perform a sexual act.
