National nonprofit holds multi-state bowling fundraiser, including in central Pa.

The Merakey Foundation held a multi-state bowling tournament on April 5 at eight lanes in five states, including ABC Lanes East in Harrisburg.

The event welcomed staff members, consumers, and friends of Merakey to bowl in support of the organization and its programming, which provides services to children and adults in the mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, foster care, addictive diseases, and education services.

In addition to ABC Lanes East, tournaments were held at opposite ends of Pennsylvania in East Norriton and Pittsburgh, in Sacramento, Arcadia and San Marcos, California; Lafayette, Louisiana; and Richmond, Virginia. The event aims to connect Merakey staff, consumers, and supporters across the nation through one activity.

Merakey is the leading nonprofit provider of community-based behavioral health, education, and human services, serving approximately 40,000 individuals and their families throughout 12 states.
