Company that offers autism therapy for children to open two new locations

Patriot-News - 5/20/2022

A company that offers autism therapy for children is planning to open two new locations in south-central Pennsylvania.

Helping Hands Family plans to open the locations in Cumberland and Lancaster counties. The company offers in-clinic, in-home, and in-school applied behavior analysis therapy.

“Our team provides intensive ABA therapy developed uniquely for each child and a program that is always at our high standard of care,” Erin Corbett, clinical director for Helping Hands Family said in a news release.

The company is in the process of opening physical clinic locations in both the Mechanicsburg and Lancaster areas, but in the meantime the company is offering in-home therapy at the homes of its clients in those areas. The offices will be located at 5021 Louise Drive, Suite C in Upper Allen Township, which is about 15 minutes from Harrisburg, and at 101 Good Drive in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County. The company didn’t say when the two offices will open but said it is already servicing the area, and is providing in-home therapy sessions in and around the area.

Helping Hands Family offers in-home services if a client is within a 30 minute drive time radius from one of its clinics.

The therapy is covered by insurance and Helping Hands Family is in the process of being able to accept Medicaid in a few months.

Helping Hands Family says it is actively taking referrals for clients and families, and is also currently hiring behavior technicians and board certified behavior analysts. Helping Hands Family plans to hire about 85 people between the two new clinics.

Helping Hands Family also provides ABA therapy in the Abington, Collegeville, Doylestown, Drexel Hill, Lehigh Valley, Paoli, West Chester and Wyomissing areas as well as Delaware, New Jersey and New York.

“With clinics soon opening in both Lancaster and Mechanicsburg, our goal is to increase access to our services while taking every opportunity we can to give back to our communities,” Corbett said.
