Observer-Dispatch - 3/4/2021

Carbone Athletics at The Fitness Mill and The Kelberman Center have announced The Fitness Mill’s Lead Sponsorship and support for the 2021 Kelberman Center Virtual Walk for Autism.

Alex Carbone, Fitness Mill owner, spoke to the partnership of the two agencies and how fitness for everyone, of all abilities, is so important to a happy and healthy life.

“Fitness for All has had an unbelievable positive impact on individuals with special needs," he said. "The Fitness Mill is honored to be recognized and trusted by The Kelberman Center to develop and deliver such great opportunities for individuals and their families. We not only gained a partnership with everyone, but we gained friends."

Tara Costello, Kelberman Center executive director, praised the significant support that The Fitness Mill in New York Mills has provided for the 2021 Virtual Walk for Autism event.

The walk, taking place throughout the month of April, encourages friends, family members, school groups and businesses to pick a day in April and a distance to walk to raise funds and awareness for autism programs and services at The Kelberman Center in Utica.

Participants can register for the virtual walk by visiting kelbermancenter.org/walk-for-autism/ and from there can form teams and start fundraising.

All proceeds from the event will help provide support for children, adults and families with autism in our community.
